Lipa cave, one of the most visited attractions in Montenegro, is welcoming its visitors as of June 1st. Seeing as Lipa cave was visited the most over the weekends, we have organized a 50% discount for the upcoming July weekend as well.
Although we offer two types of tours, our visitors mostly opt for the Cave experience tour. All tours start from the parking lot with the road train which takes visitors to the cave. During the train ride, our visitors can enjoy beautiful vistas of national parks Skadar Lake and Prokletije, and the scent of linden trees which still lingers in the air.
At the very entrance, you’ll be welcomed by cool air and a guide who’ll tell you everything about the history and the formation of this embodiment of natural beauty.
A unique enjoyment begins as soon as you step into the cave, and the noise and high temperatures are left behind.
During the tour, you’ll find out how the cave was formed, how it was discovered, and which organisms inhabit it. You’ll learn how cave ornaments are formed, how to treat them, and how significant they were for the first visitors.
Subtly lit cave ornaments will inspire your imagination, and spacious galleries and halls give a surprising sense of freedom despite the fact that you’re beneath the surface.
Upon exiting the cave, our visitors are overwhelmed with impressions. Their reactions are beyond positive, their expectations met, and often exceeded. Our visitors frequently wish to take a step further in the Adventure tale, our other tour-unique among possibilities for active vacation in Montenegro.
Every day there are five scheduled tours, at 10:00, 11:30, 13:00, 14:30, and 16:00 hours.
All you need to do is show up at least 15 minutes before one of the scheduled tours so you can buy tickets and take a seat on the train. The temperature inside the cave is always between 8 and 12oC, so we advise you bring a light jacket and put on sneakers. In case you arrive earlier, or wish to share your impressions with your friends and family after the tour, our café bar is a perfect place to spend some time in.
Please note that wearing a face mask is mandatory in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 as prescribed by the National Coordinating Body.
